Title: Snowman
’Verse: Servants Journals
Characters: Shine
Prompt: 67 Snow
Word Count: 211
Rating: G
Notes: A light hearted short one.

It had been a beautiful day. It had snowed heavily the night before, but the morning was bright and shiny. By the time Shine left the house to run his errands the plows had already cleared the streets, so his running around had been easy.

He was unloading groceries when he noticed the front yard. It was covered in a thick sparkly white carpet of virgin snow. Shine certainly hadn’t planned it, but he soon had a large ball of snow rolled up that was quickly followed by another slightly smaller one which he was just able to pick up and put on top of the first one by himself. The last ball was smaller still and placed securely on top of the second. It was looking good but it wasn’t done yet. He looked around and found some sticks for arms and then some old barbeque briquettes in the garage for the mouth and eyes. A carrot from the kitchen made a traditional nose.

He stood back and gave his creation a critical eye. It still needed something…

That night he as a bit worried that he’d gone too far, but Joseph never said a thing about his black silk top hat sitting out on the snowman’s head all winter.

Anybody reading these?
